Age 90, formerly of Montour Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Oak Hill Manor in Ithaca, NY.She was born on December 20, 1927 in Valois, NY to the late George and Marietta Connolly.She is survived by her children, Kathleen (Steve) Laughlin of Watkins Glen, Barbara (Jim) Adesso of Watkins Glen, Rebecca Wilkinson of Ithaca, Michael Rosbaugh of Painted Post, and Jacquelyn (Greg) Dense of Alpine; grandchildren, Matthew and Phillip Adesso, Stefanie (James) Gublo, Kimberly (Brandon) Jelliff and Alyssa and Jeff Dense; and one great granddaughter, Jennifer Gublo.Also surviving are two half-brothers, Tracy and Lewis Rosbaugh; and several nieces and nephews.He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Julie (Bovaird) Boyce; four daughters, Cheryl (Brian) Grimes of Odessa, Jamie Sue Smith of Cayuta, Karen Rider of Cayuta, and Trina Shepherd of Horseheads; a sister, Shirley Fraboni of Dundee, FL; a brother, Elwood (Judy) Boyce of Nokesville, VA; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was an avid Chicago Bears and New York Yankees fan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 5 at a.m. Ralph was born in Tioga County PA, son of the late Ralph and Helen (Burns) Butler. He was retired from the New York State Department of Corrections.
He was a member of the Italian American Veterans Club, America Legion Post #1208, Wayne, NY, and the Elmira Elks Lodge #62. Anthony’s Church, where he was one of the organizers of the annual festival. He was a retired Chemical Engineer with a passion for math and the environment.
He most recently was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Parish. He loved conversation, good food, travel and model trains.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, February 13 from 1-2 p.m. He was born in Montour Falls, NY on June 6, 1936, the son of the late Leslie and Alice (Tucker) Boyce, and graduated from Odessa-Montour Central School in 1955. Boyce was a time study engineer at Emerson Power Transmissions in Ithaca, NY for over 40 years, retiring in 1999. He is also survived by his parents, Larry and Janet Brown, and his brother, Marc Brown, of Gilbert, AZ.
Frederick had a strong belief in God, and was a member of the Cayuta Free Church. Gary was a kind, loving man “who never met a stranger.” He led a big life, always willing to help his friends and neighbors, and at the center was his family and children. Age 44, of Painted Post, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, January 30, 2018.
He was born in Elmira, NY on June 15, 1954, the son of the late Gerald and Esther (Ayers) Hyer.
